Andrea McCoy-Naperstkow

A proud farmer.

That’s how Andrea often describes herself, and her passion for agriculture has translated into a very informative and interesting weekly program in Barnyard Breakdown.

Geared for the agriculture sector of the Ottawa Valley and beyond, Andrea’s show deals with all things farming at the local, provincial, national and international level. Her connections in the industry often translates to knowledgeable and interesting guests to discuss the topics of the day.

Andrea is a current director of the Lanark Federation of Agriculture, and owns a second-generation crop, beef operation in Beckwith Township with her husband Arvin.

After a career in social work, she “retired” to the life of a farmer and she is not only teaching our listeners through Barnyard Breakdown, but she also teaches four courses, of which one is Leadership in Society course in the Business Agriculture Program at Algonquin College in Perth. She was recently honoured to receive an Excellence in Teaching Awards for her work in the classroom.

Make sure to tune in on Thursdays and find out about how your food gets from farm to table.
