Reta Behm

Receptionist

Reta joined the Valley Heritage Radio family in 2008 and has done it all here at the station – volunteering, as an employee, and a familiar voice on the airwaves. She even sings a song that gets airplay from time to time.
A true Valley girl, Reta was born in Almonte and her family moved to Cobden when she was just three years old. And her heart has always been in the Valley.

Reta comes from a family that was both musical and athletic. In fact, she combined both at a young age and was one of Buster Brown’s first students when he began teaching step dancing.
She loves to help others, and has worked countless fundraisers through the years, including the Ottawa Heart Institute since 1993. Reta has long been an executive member and volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion.

Reta and her husband Gary have been married more than 45 years, and together they have three children, 13 grandchildren and are about to welcome great grandchild number 9.
