OUR DJs

Rob Dodge

A country music fan all his life, Rob is in his element spinning tunes for the listeners of the Ottawa Valley and beyond.

After close to four decades in emergency services – 37 years as a paramedic and 35 years as a volunteer firefighter – Rob recently retired and found he was busier than ever. So, when you’re busy, you may as well be REALLY busy. With that mindset, Rob brought his passion for country music to the station, and launched a Canadian country music program on Saturday mornings.

Rob has also become a valuable member of the VHR family, often filling in for other program hosts and sharing his love for music, especially that of Ottawa Valley artists.

When he isn’t on the air, you can find Rob at his sugar “shack” (more like a sugar chalet) in McNab-Braeside township, or working the family hobby farm with his wife Liz. The couple have two grown daughters and a granddaughter who, not surprisingly, all have a love for country music.

Program

Coast to Coast Country

There is so much great music right here in Canada, and that’s exactly what you’ll hear on Saturday mornings from 10 to noon as Rob Dodge takes you from ocean to ocean to ocean in this wonderful country of ours. And, of course, that includes right here in the Ottawa Valley as Rob will bring you songs and tunes from your own backyard as part of an all-Canadian program that is always entertaining.
