Raise money for Medical Equipment at the Arnprior Hospital. $25.00 a person. CHARITY PULL COMPETITION
This event is to raise funds for much needed Medical Equipment for the Arnprior Hospital. In partnership with Syd Gravel the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation will once again be hosting a Charity Pull Competition. Syd is a heart survival patient.
In December of 2019 Syd went through life saving surgery to replace his damaged upper aortic artery which had developed a dangerous aneurysm.
Since then, he has gone on to take a Gold Medal in POWERLIFTING at the Can-Am Games in 2022 and a Silver Medal at the World Police & Fire Games 2023 Winnipeg.
At 71 years of age Syd trains with coach Taylor Wilson at Arnprior UFGym with the Powerlifters - The Never Too Old Gang!
The Community is invited to donate to support their favourite person or team. The prize for bragging rights will be given to the Team who can pull the ambulance that pre-determined distance the fastest.
Three competitions:
1) Teams pull of an ambulance over 100 ft.
2) Individuals pull a vintage car over 100 ft.
3) Tug-of-war for teams - $25 per person - max 4 per team. Please indicate
your team name when entering.
And a demonstration of a strong lift
Entry fee is $25 per person per event, and registration must happen by September 7th.
