About the event

Stop by our CLIMATE CAFEat the Madawaska Valley Library in Barry's Bay on Saturday, February 10 2024, from 10 AM to Noon. Our "Climate Cafés” are friendly, informative and informal drop-in events. We offer facts, conversation, resources, slides as well as tea and cookies.

This event will be of special interest to youth, teachers, parents, grandparents, and others who care about coming generations. The climate change issue is a major concern to most young people according to 2023 research from Lakehead University scholars Galway and Field. Apparently many youth don't talk about it because they don't know how to do so!

Participants of all ages will be pleasantly surprised to learn what local level governments CAN do about climate action, and how you can help us encourage that to happen. It hurts us all to delay any longer. Let’s get started!

The Renfrew County Climate Cafés are a project of your local volunteer-run chapter of the Council of Canadians. Below are some photos from our January 20th Café at the Killaloe Public Library.
