Please help the Lanark Civitan Club raise funds for an accessible van for Dave Purdon
The Lanark Civitan Club is working with Kelly McNelly from the Twisted Fork Restaurant on a fundraising project for Dave and Jewel Purdon from MacDonald’s Corners. They are requesting financial donations, live and silent auction items and are advertising a fundraiser dance to be held on Saturday June 24, 2023 at the MacDonald’s Corners Agricultural Hall.
Dave is now using a Power Tilt Wheelchair because of Myotonic Dystrophy and Spinal Arthritis. He has not been able to leave his house since August 2022 except to go to the hospital by ambulance.
Dave and his wife Jewel have been active in the Lanark County community, volunteering with social agencies and doing volunteer driving. It is now time that they need help.
Fundraiser Dance:
The entertainment is being generously donated for this worthwhile cause by the Bowes Brothers and by Cheryl and Harry Adrian. The event date is Saturday June 24, from 6 pm-11 pm with a meal at 8 p.m. There will be a cash bar, door prizes, games and a Live and Silent Auction. $20 tickets are available at
