About the event
Golden Lake Community Garden is a relatively new and growing project located behind the Golden Lake Firehall and Post office. Our missions is to serve residents of North Algona Wilberforce and Pikwakanagan and The Sharing Place food bank that serves these residents. We are entirely funded by grants and volunteer run. The first event of the 2026 season is a Golden Lake Community Garden Planting Party this Saturday June 6, at 9am. Help plant in the garden, have tea or coffee and snacks, and discuss the upcoming season which will include bbqs and workshops to learn about gardening and connect with community members.
