About the event
Make Halloween Accessible in Petawawa!
This year, the Petawawa Accessibility Advisory Committee is excited to continue supporting Treat Accessibly—a movement that helps make Halloween fun and inclusive for everyone, no matter their abilities. Over 400,000 children in Canada live with disabilities, and together, we can create a welcoming Halloween for all!
Here’s how you can help:
- Hand out candy from an obstacle-free spot, like the end of your driveway.
- Pick up a FREE "Accessible Trick-or-Treating" lawn sign from Petawawa REMAX or Town Hall to show your support!
These signs let families know your home is barrier-free and part of the campaign. Display it at least a week before Halloween so families can plan their trick-or-treat route!
Plus, on Halloween night from 5-7PM, swing by the Petawawa fire stations (23 Schwanz Rd or 1111 Victoria St) for accessible fun! Meet Sparky, snap some photos, and grab treats from our barrier-free stations.
Let’s make Halloween magical and inclusive for everyBODY!
