Caramel Corn

Popping corn

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup corn syrup

2 sticks butter

1 tsp vanilla (optional)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp water

1 tsp baking soda

Almonds, cashew nuts, walnuts, peanuts


Preheat oven to 200 degrees


Pop corn in an air popper and place popped corn in a warm oven while making coating


Boil - butter, corn syrup and brown sugar, water, salt , vanilla and allow

mixture to boil for 5 minutes

Remove from heat and add baking soda

Pour over popcorn and nuts and stir well

Spread on cookie sheet

Place in oven for 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes

Remove from oven and cool

Store in tightly covered container
