1 cup of molasses
1 cup of melted butter
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
4 and 1/2 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of ginger
2 teaspoons of chopped cloves
2 teaspoons of baking soda
Pinch of salt
Add melted butter to molasses and stir
Stir in milk and egg
Mix in remaining ingredients
Roll out on a floured board to 1/2 inch thickness
Cut in desired shapes and place on a greased cookie sheet
Bake in 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes
