1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1 (540 ml) can fruit cocktail, well drained
3 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients, fruit and nuts. Blend well and drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes.
