Maple Syrup Pie

1 egg, beaten

1 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. flour

1 cup pure local maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 tbsp. melted butter

pinch of salt

Mix ingredients and cook to thicken on top of stove, stirring constantly.

Pour into a cooked pie shell.

Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or alone as you wish.
