  • Rhubarb Meringue Pie

    3 cups rhubarb, cut in 1 inch pieces 1 1/2 cups white sugar 2 Tbsp flour Salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 Tbsp melted butter 3 eggs, separated Unbaked pie shell Cover rhubarb with boiling water. Let stand 5 minutes and then drain well. Beat egg yolks, then add mixed flour, sugar and spice. Stir in melted butter and combine with drained fruit. Set oven at 425° for 10 minutes, then 350° for about 40 minutes, until fruit is tender. Cover with meringue from beaten egg whites, add 5 tablespoons white sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

  • SURPRISE PIE

    2 slightly beaten eggs 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1 and 1/2 cups of sour cream 3/4 cup of white sugar 1 tablespoon of cornstarch 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 cup of raisins Mix eggs, brown sugar and cream. Add remaining ingredients. Put in a baked pie shell in hot oven at 450 degrees F. for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees until cooked.

  • Warm Apple Maple Pudding

    1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding 1-1/2 cups 2% milk 1/2 cup maple syrup 1 medium Granny Smith apple, chopped 6 David Maple Leaf Cookies, coarsely crushed Mix dry pudding mix, milk and maple syrup in microwaveable bowl. Add apple; mix well. Microwave on HIGH 1 min. or until warm. Spoon into 6 individual serving dishes. Sprinkle with crushed cookies.

  • MINT BALLS

    4 oz crem cheese 2 cups icing sugar 1 cup fine coconut 1 tsp almond extract Soft mints Mix all ingredients but mints together, creaming well. Roll into balls. Place on waxed paper and press a soft mint into the top of each ball. Keep refrigerated.

  • Cranberry Orange Muffins

    1 egg Juice of 1 orange plus enough water to make 3/4 cup 1/2 cup Crisco Oil 2 cups of flour 1/2 cup of sugar Grated rind on 1 orange 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup chopped cranberries 1/2 teaspoon soda 1/2 teaspoon salt Cream sugr, egg, oil, orange rind, orange juice and water. Add dry ingredients and mix, then add cranberries. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes - Makes 12 muffins

  • EGG QUICHE

    French Bread 1 dozen eggs 1 cup of milk 1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard Mushrooms, onions, green peppers, ham Use a 9 x 13 inch glass pan. Combine all ingredients and let soak overnight. Cover with grated cheese. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  • Ice Box Cake

    6 oz. pkg chocolate chipits 1 pkg. mini marshmallows 1 egg, well beaten 1 cup icing sugar 1 Tbsp butter 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup walnuts 1 1/2 cups coconut, approximately, divided Sprinkle coconut in bottom of 9 inch square pan. Melt chocolate chipits with the tablespoon butter on medium heat until smooth then add egg, icing sugar, vanilla and walnuts. Remove from heat and add marshmallows, mixing well. Pour into the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining coconut over top. Refrigerate and cut in 1 1/2 to 2 inch squares.

  • YO-YO COOKIES

    1 can of Eagle Brand milk 2 cups of Graham Crumbs 1 x 6 ounce package of Chocolate Chips 1 cup of Cherries cut into small pieces 1 cup of cocoanut Mix milk, chocolate chips, cherries and graham crumbs together and roll into balls. Roll in coconut on wax paper.

  • SOUR CREAM PEACH PIE

    1 - 10" unbaked pie shell 6 peaches (about 4 C) (peeled & sliced) 1/2 C white sugar 1/4 C flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 C sour cream Topping: 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon Combine the sugar, flour and cinnamon and add the peaches. Stir in the sour cream and place the mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the peach mixture. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350F and continue baking for about 30 minutes.

  • Magic Crust Broccoli Pie

    2 cups chopped cooked broccoli 1 cup chopped ham 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup flour 1/8 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. shortening 2 eggs 3/4 cup milk Layer broccoli, ham and cheese in well oiled 9" pie plate. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over cheese layer. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. Let set 10 min. Serve.

  • Ginger Pork Chops

    4 rib pork chops 1 can ginger Ale Salt and Pepper Salt and pepper chops to your taste. Arrange in pan. Cover with half of ginger ale and simmer on medium heat until ginger ale has evaporated. Turn chops and add remaining ginger ale. Reduce to low heat and simmer until ginger is again evaporated.

  • BANANA CAKE

    1/2 C butter 1 C sugar 1 egg 3 tbsp milk 1 C mashed bananas 1 1/2 C flour 1 tsp soda 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla Mix in order given. Bake in a greased 9" pan at 350F for 1/2 hour.
