Chicken-Barley Soup

2 qt water

1 1/2 cups grated carrots

1 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup barley (pearl)

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 tsp salt

1 bay leaf

1/2 tsp poultry seasoning

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp sage

Cooked chicken or turkey pieces (1 to 2 cups)

Use leftover cooked chicken or turkey, cut in small pieces. Put all ingredients in a pot and simmer 1 hour.
